Privacy Policy
This draft describes the current application. It has not been professionally reviewed. Operator details, privacy contacts, retention rules and applicable rights still need to be completed and legally reviewed before public or commercial launch.
Operator information awaiting completion
Not yet supplied: legal/operator name; business or trading name; mailing address; country and province/region of operation; privacy contact email; and policy effective date.
Accounts and school information
Edu Portal stores account information such as names, email addresses, password hashes, roles and verification status. Depending on how an account is used, it also stores school, grade, section, subject, profile-image and access-permission information. Teachers and administrators can access information through the permissions provided to their roles.
Learning activity and uploaded files
The application stores learning activity, homework, assignments, submissions, marks and progress information. Files uploaded for teaching, learning or assessment may be stored and made available to the people permitted to use the relevant feature. Upload only material you have permission to share, and avoid unnecessary personal or sensitive information.
AI assistance and documents
AI features may send questions, lesson context, conversation history and text extracted from uploaded documents or images to an external AI provider. Image processing uses OCR; PDF support includes document-text extraction. AI marking may send uploaded file content directly to an external AI provider. Some conversation state is held in the browser, and the application records AI usage information. Provider handling and retention must be assessed by the platform operator; this draft does not promise immediate deletion or private processing by those providers.
Live Lessons
Live Lesson features process session and participation information, shared lesson content, annotations, notes and whiteboard interactions. Shared classroom material is visible to relevant participants. When LiveKit services are configured and media features are used, those services process audio and screen-sharing streams.
Cookies and browser storage
The application uses authentication/session and security cookies, and browser storage for interface state used by learning features. The public landing page does not add advertising trackers or analytics libraries. Other application pages may load external libraries or embedded media, whose providers receive connection information when those resources load.
Service providers and verification email
Hosting, email delivery, AI and configured classroom-media services process information needed for their functions. Email verification and password recovery use an external delivery service to send verification or reset instructions to your address. The operator must document its deployed providers, processing locations and contractual arrangements before finalizing this policy.
Plans and demo payments
The current plan workflow records plan selections and subscription-related status in the application. Payments are a demonstration workflow, not a production card-billing service. Production payment processing and its privacy information would require a separate review before activation.
Retention, requests and younger learners
No complete retention schedule or privacy-request procedure is documented for this deployment. The operator must publish these, identify available rights and establish appropriate arrangements for schools and younger learners. This draft does not claim a compliance certification or guarantee a particular deletion period.
